Dental Implant

What is an implant?

An implant is a kind of artificial tooth root. It is placed inside the j awbone. In single tooth deficiencies, it is possible to complete the missing tooth without touching the adjacent healthy teeth, and it is possible to use fixed dentures instead of removable dentures in multiple tooth deficiencies thanks to dental implants.

In dentistry   , after implant treatment, it may be necessary to wait (3 to 5 months) for the titanium structure to integrate with the bone. Gum-shaping spacers are kept in the mouth for an average of one month. The prosthesis phase is approximately 2-3 weeks. It is necessary to wait for a long time (about 6 to 9 months) if any intervention is made to the jawbone in the form of bone augmentation or if the sinus cavity has been lifted in the upper jaw. However, the results obtained at the end of this period are quite satisfactory and much longer lasting.

Implant Teeth Making

In the first stage, our patient undergoes a comprehensive oral examination. The location of the implants  is determined by taking the panoramic or, if necessary, tomography image taken in our clinic, accompanied by the measurement. In the second stage following this, local anesthesia is applied by our surgeon and the  implant  operation begins. Implant tooth operation  can take an average of 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the number of implants.  After the implant dental operation is completed, our dentist conveys the issues that should be applied to our patient that day and the procedure is completed with our patient.

A week later, both control and we invite our patients for sewing and made  implants  toothless to remain integrated in the process of temporary teeth attached to the implant according to quantity. In the last stage, after the integration of the implant into the jawbone is completed, the patient’s  permanent teeth are placed on the implant  . However, if bone powder had to be used while making the implant, the healing time would be longer.

The reason for this is that the placed bone powder melts over time and forms new bone in that area. In such a case, the recovery period varies between 6-12 months, depending on the amount of bone powder used and the area placed.

What are the advantages of implant treatment?

  • – Better aesthetic appearance
  • – Better chewing
  • – A happier social life by regaining self-confidence

A healthier and more balanced diet based on being able to eat everythingImplants  give you the most natural-looking teeth. It gives the impression of your own natural tooth while chewing. It is not possible to say that it can never fully replace the natural tooth. However, it is the closest form of treatment to it!  It is a much safer, functional alternative treatment method compared to traditional veneers, bridges and palate prostheses. Implant treatments consist of two stages. Surgical stage and superstructure stage. After the implants are placed with surgery, an average of 1.5-2 months is expected. This waiting period   is the time required for the implant,  called“osteointegration” , to biologically fuse with the jawbone. After this period, the second phase, the superstructure phase, is completed in an average of one week.

What are Jaw Bone Powders (Grafts)?

Bone grafts, known as bone powder, are obtained by various methods. Grafts produced from human, animal or synthetic origin are in the form of particulate powder or blocks. Thanks to the cells it contains and the substances necessary for bone formation and growth, it helps the area to heal faster and increases the bone volume.
